Daily stress affects health, it is reflected in the body and our life, and there is almost no time to balance the mind and body, and vacations seem the perfect remedy to disconnect and renew energy. But this is not always the case, there are times when trips cause the opposite effect to the expected, little relaxation and too much activity make us return even more exhausted and anguished.

But there are solutions, and an alternative is the vacation retreats in which the time is to dedicate it to yourself, to recover, and to return with another point of view. And no, they are not boring, you have to choose the one that best suits you. They have different durations and different themes that are offered anywhere in the world.

Thematic retreat

Either to do yoga, meditation, dance, music, mindfulness or practice silence through different techniques that work the emotional, spiritual, and intellectual part, in a quiet environment, away from crowded places and urban life, especially in natural environments that are healthy and healthy for the body and mind, and that give the feeling of being unattached.

These retreats provide the necessary tools to get to know each other, reflect, and learn more about yourself. Only the silent retreats are the hardest, the practice is difficult because a daily meditation routine is followed in which there is no talking, only listening, and there are no other types of activities.

Eat well, exercise, get back in shape, feel good inside through fasting, detox, nutrition, fitness or simply rest to purify and get well. Change, for a few days, bad habits for healthier ones that can continue to be applied when you return home. The menus are usually delicious, and the deluxe ones have been created by renowned chefs. In addition, they are usually accompanied by massages, spa, sauna, thalassotherapy and beauty therapies that will improve the external appearance as well as improve our spirit, perhaps they are the most popular today.

Specific retreats

There are other more specific types of retreats such as those aimed at learning to breathe, doing it slowly, deeply and regularly helps to control stress, or volunteering working without remuneration in the fields, in farms, associations, rural houses doing kitchen tasks, construction, agriculture, forest cleaning, with animals ... to disconnect from the technological world and work altruistically, helping others and at the same time yourself. In addition, they live with other people outside the closest environment, and new bonds of friendship are created that are part of a new family.

Maybe this is the opportunity to change the trip to the beach with an all-inclusive bracelet, or that intense hiking plan, for a few days of deep rest and to feed our soul! Let’s think about it!
